Adam came down from his house on the coast for an all night raving session with yours truely and Jack. We met him at the Estacio Del Nord bus station and made our way back to the hotel. A paella for dinner and then straight out to the bars, we were well up for it tonight. We checked out a bar called goldeneye, the barmaids were all dressed in Bikinis and undies, omg how fit! We got chatting to some Americans and then moved on to Sunset club after a couple drinks. This is where we would stay. They played so many of my favourite songs - Papi Chulo, La Bomba, Hips Dont Lie, Pump It, No Es Amour, Love Generation, World Hold On, Dragnostei din Tei and many more. Was sooo cool! Got with some Spanish chica, not amazing but still a foreigner!! Much better that the elephant! Adam met some Dutch girl and her mate was amazingly hot. Megan from the USA. We walked around with them for a while afterwards and then they got on a train, we made our way back to the hotel for a well earned rest, this was at 6am!!

So here I am, sitting next to regular blog reader, Jack, in an internet Cafe slap bang in the middle of Barcelona´s La Rambla. I am having an amazing time.
Jack picked me up from my house at 0745 Tuesday morning for the trip to Gatwick. It seemed to take forever, but we arrived, checked in and went through to departures in about 15 minutes. I was really happy and in the mood for a holiday now, so there was nothing better than to have a pint of beer at 0930 in the morning! Eventually we boarded Easyjet flight EZ5113 to Barcelona! It was well exciting getting aboard the plane and then choosing seats. After a 1hr45m flight we landed in Barcelona and disembarqued the plane. To our surprise Victoria and David Beckham got off the plane as well, ok they were look-a-likes but no one cares! I went to get some fags - Ducados at $2.20! We made the awkward and long journey, taking 2 trains and one metro, to the hotel Auto Hogar on Paral-lel. It was great, we were finally there. We chilled in the room for a few hours, then we went out. Had dinner in a place called ´Happy Bar and Grill´ which was really nice, then we watched the Italy v Germany match. Italy won in extra time with two great goals and loads of people were going mental! Was so cool to see. We made our way back to the hotel, chilled on the balcony and went to sleep.
Today we woke and had breakfast, went out for a walk around Plaça Cataluña in all the shops. Had lunch in Ciudad Comtal, where I went with Mum and Dad a few years ago, was so cool to go back there! I had a hamburger. Afterwards we made our way back to the hotel, I bought FHM Spain and Siete (Spain´s version of Zoo) and we sunbathed. Now we are out in the center to enjoy the life.

Hasta Luego!

The World Cup: My View

I just can't believe that England are out of the World Cup. Although I didn't think we would do too much, I did think after beating Ecuador that we would have a chance to maybe go all the way. The memories of this year's competition will always last for me, the first time I could drink when a major tournament was on.

I watched England vs Paraguay around Josh's house and had a BBQ which was a right laugh. We won the game 1-0 and we were lucky, but we had 3 points in the bag.

When I had a job interview in London, I went to the Sports Cafe with Matt to watch Spain vs Ukraine, where Spain thrashed them 4-0. We were like the only English people in the bar and it was a great atmosphere!

The second game against Trinidad and Tobago was just after an exam and Me, Jack and Matt watched it at The Drink in Guildford. England scored 2 late goals and the place went mental, random people jumping around with us! Was great. This meant we qualified.

When my cousin Paul came down from Scotland I went with him and Matt to Yates in Guildford. It was a boring match but the ketchup incident in the bar was so funny and one to remember!

The final England match against Sweeden I raced home from work to watch. Was a pretty scrappy match but we managed a draw, when frankly we should have won.

England had reached the last 16 and faced in form Ecuador. I was working at the Fast and Furious car show in Brighton over the weekend and caught the match in one of the bars at Brighton Racecourse, where the show was. We won 1-0 thanks to a great Beckham free kick and had booked our place in the Semi's against Portugal.

I was in Birmingham working with Matt at the NEC at Max Power Live, another car show, and I caught the first half by watching a TV on top of a hummer and the second by watching it on a screen on the main stage. It finished 0-0 after normal time with Rooney being sent off. I rushed back to the hotel in time to catch the penalty shoot out and saw Robinson save a penalty and then Gerrard step up and miss (I reckon if he had scored we would have won). Carragher missed the penalty that sealed England's fate and sent us crashing out of the Cup in a similar fashion when Portugal knocked us out of Euro 2004 2 years ago. I was devistated aswell as other fans in the hotel bar. I couldn't believe it. A really depressing journey home.

I reckon we could have won it as we had a fantastic bunch of players, but was Sven the man to do it for us? No in my opinion.

What a great weekend and a round trip of 315 miles. After working with Kerri, Ellie, Lisa, James and my mate Matt last weekend at Fast and Furious in Brighton, we descended on The NEC in Birmingham for this year's babe and car extravagansa. After work on Thursday, I picked Matt up and we made our way to Birmingham along the A3, M25, M40 and M42 eventually arriving at the NEC in just over 2 hours. Was well pleased with the time it took.
We were staying at the Premier Travel Inn and James came out and we went to look for alcohol to bring back. Every fucking 24hour offy was closed so we asked so many skanks and gulas. We went through the roughest estates and worst areas, eventually finding somewhere! But instead of buying some we went for a drink in Barracuda, a club! Was well good with gorgeous gals everywhere, podium dancers and cheap drinks! Shame I was driving though! We got back to the hotel and no one knew, we said we got lost! LOL!
Saturday we got to the NEC, me and Matt had to sneak in on one ticket, so I went through and passed the ticket back to Matt, easy as! Ellie came back to help as well as a new girl called Brooke. Forum members Stoney and Bao were there too. Was a right laugh! The day was soooo busy, Kerri's stand was packed all the time! Me and Matt lived off free samples of Rustler Burgers, WKD and Beer, all free! I was a bit drunk lol! Was knackered at the end of the day, but came back, got ready and went out for dinner. Dinner was ok, nothing special though, and took ages to come. The lovely (drunk) ellie bought me a drink! Me, Bao, Stoney, Lisa, Ellie and Matt all went to the Hilton hotel for a drink after dinner. The walk there was so funny, we were changing all of the road signs around and generally pissing around!

We got to the Hilton, stayed for a while then went back to Bao and Stoney's hotel for a drink in one of their mates rooms. I was absolutely pissed now. Finally went back to our hotel, me and Matt had one more drink then slept in the car!
Sunday was a similar day, had a rite laugh but was shattered, got photos with loads of lovely models. Watched England get knocked out of the world cup :(. We left the crew at the hotel for the drive home, sad yet again that it went so quick, but it was definately fun!
