I'm back, ramblings of a Jet Setter

well well well, I don't think I've blogged since the turn of the year, but here it goes!
Quite a lot of changes in my life at the mo, most importantly my career. I love working for Carphone Warehouse, a company full of great people and a fun work ethos, but it is what I refer to as a job, not a career. Everyone who knows me has known for a long time that I want to get into the media industry, mainly radio. And recently I have been given another chance.
One of these chances was for Heart 106.2, London's number 1 station. It would have been working for their 'Ground Patrol' team. I went for the interview, which I thought was fine and dandy, but I got a letter at the weekend saying I was unsuccessful. Oh well, not really too bothered, would have been nice but it wasn't a full time job and not really a radio station I really listen to. Too oldie for me lol.
My second chance is at GCap Media, home of Capital Radio, Xfm, Classic FM, Choice FM amongst others at their Leicester Square headquarters. If successful I would be working in the Information Center, basically a smart name for reception and call centre. Now despite this isn't really radio, it is a foot in the door, but when I did work experience at what was known as Capital Radio, I worked with the team there for a day and had immense fun. I have been notified today I have a second interview (which means I have been shortlisted!! :D) this week. Fingers crossed I will get this and I would be over the moon if I did!

Life is great at the moment, we (Claire, Josh, Chris and me) went out for Josh's 18th this past Saturday and it was a great night and a night where I got absolutely wrecked. It was great, we went to Harpers, Yates, Flares, Bar Med and Time. I ended up copping off with a lovely lady who I can't even remember! Next morning was fun, especially I had to go to work lol!

I'm loving Just Jack at the moment, and I bought his album today. What a wicked album, haven't been able to listen to it all, but what I have heard so far is excellent! Go and buy it if you can! Also Sharam and Mason vs Princess Superstar have banging choons out at the mo!

I am now driving my wicked Ford Ka, complete with viper stripes, green LED's, and subs! It is my project to make it a show car, and I love it. Sooooo better than my 106.

Charlton are still shit as ever! We beat Pompey, our first away win in 18 months last weekend which was good. I'm looking forward to going to our home match against Chelsea this weekend. Will be fun!
