I'm back, ramblings of a Jet Setter

2005: The yearly review!

Well what a year. It's sad to get another year under my belt, I'm getting older and my life continues in the fast lane. This yeart has been a good one, with lots of new friends, my first tough exams (A Levels) and just a great time.

I saw new year in at Basildon again, and what I night. I was absolutely hammered after and forgot what had happened and woke later that morning with a huge hangover! Silly me. My friendship with Matt got stronger and stonger with myself staying at his house more and more. January brought me a new job and for myself to cut down on my shifts at Sainsburys. Yes I joined the place where they love dem ho's, Homebase. It seemed like such a new and fun challenge, and boy was I wrong! I guess it was easier at first, and I was able to work on a Sunday leaving my Saturdays free to able me to go to the football at Charlton more often! Boy was I happy. In January myself and Matt bought tickes to the forthcoming concert in June, at Twickenham Stadium. What a hassle that was! One thing in February that I will always remember was when Chris caused a bundle and Waterloo underground Station. Absolute classic. This guy is so funny! I found a new hobbie, watching darts! Got myself a Dartboard and Im now hooked! Its great!

The first Tv recording I went to see this year was at Elstree studio's for ITV's new prime time TV show Celebrity Wrestling. It was really good but the programme was crap! I went with Sam (buddy from Work exp) and Matt, this was to be the last time I saw Sam, unfortunately he turned out to be a prick that day. The producers moved us to ringside location so we were on tv! I had a song request played on The Eagle for Fat Boy Slim's 'The Joker' which was kool to hear! That was while I was listening to my phone pushing bloody trolleys at work! Fun!

March was the month that enabled me to start driving, yes I turned 17. During March my kit designs for Striker magazine (the 3D football comic) were featured in their top 10 entries for the new kit out of 1000's of entries, I felt dead chuffed! Snow continued to fall throughout Feb and March which was nice as I hadn't seen much since leaving Eltham last year. Before my birthday, I enjoyed a fabuolous Business Studies trip to Disneyland Paris. It was wicked. My two good mates Matt and Adam went on this trip with me and we had the best time. Meeting oters like Chris, Mike, Lisa and Sj was great too! Not forgetting the boxes of Mints that we were given, and Matt fretting that he lost his camera on the Morning of Departure and Lisa losing her Handbag. Oh well!

At the end of March, I went with Chris to the legendary Top Of The Pops. What a great show. Ja Rule, Mario, Mariah Carey, Basement Jaxx all performed. it was great. Free music on a great programme!

Into April and a beginning of a great trip to my Uncle, Aunt and Cousins in Scotland. After a mofo long journey I went to the best party ever, Paul's mates 18th. What fun, what a piss up! No one parties like the Scottish. It was great going into Glasgow and other places with Paul and my Family. It just went too quick! After this it was the best week. Doing work experience for Mens Weekley - Nuts Magazine! Ohh what fun and the Envy of all my friends! I met some great people and was even put in the magazine, with pictures of me! WOOT! I was famous!

Then came the Urban "YOU GONNA GET RAPED" Music Festival. Actually I better not joke cos someone actually did! Seeing acts like Will Smith, Killa Kella, Xzibit amongst many others was effing great! Ill always remember when me and Matt were coming back and going down an escalator on the tube when Matt threw a bottle at me and it went past this gula who called me a DUCKHEAD! LOL! Classic. First day back at College say Lib Dems leader Charles Kennedy come to college with The BBC! And yes, my arm was famous, seen on the BBC news! LOL! Later on that week, me and Graham skived IT with Miller to go to Excel London and see WWE! What a great laugh that was! SO many pricks with signs, but the action was great! Grahams first, My 4th or sumin and it is great evertime! I had Itsu Shitsu that day! Bobo also got fired that week, and we found out from Driver Jacob who slagged him off! Bye Bye smelly shit! Matt invited me to Spain on holiday with his family in the summer, to San Sebastian. It will be such a laugh!

Nothing really happened in May, I booked Max Power tickets for July. I started to learn to drive, Aunt Linda and Uncle Nigel visited from Canada and Exams started at the end of the month with ICT retake.

June started with me being sworn at, at work by an old woman. Quite funny really! During exams I had loadsa free time, so myself and Chris used that time to go skating a bit at the Spectrum. This was fun! It felt so bad aswell! My time at Homebase finished this month. I decided enough was enough, found a vacancy at Sainsburys on Sunday, which paid double, and handed in my notice in May. I met some great people who I miss, namely Mark, who was a legend. But I couldn't face it anymore. The UK Darts open was good with Taylor winning again! At last U2 had arrived. A great Sunny day in London, at Twickenham with a great act and performance. What a concert. So worth the money! Ash as support were great as well! Ill always remember this and it was the best concert I have ever been to. The month finished with more skiving Miller and myself, Chris, Jack and Ollie going to Wimbledon. What a day. Sneaking into Court one for a great match between Coria and Roddick. I managed to get new British legend, Andy Murray's, autograph! Wicked! Also being on BBC TV right behind the umpire and shouting throughout the Venus williams mixed doubles match! All heard on BBC TV. when we arrived we joined a huge queue with no hope of getting in, but we managed it! YAY!

July brought Max Power Live and a journey on the megabus to Birmingham. Was pretty nifty, went with Matt and met some gorgeous models and some noobs! Saw Millers Eating Experience which was funny, nothing to do with Miller though! Had a great time! This was a good and bad month for London though. On the 6th the IOC announced we had won the 2012 Olympics in London, despite the odds being with Paris.

The day after should have been full of celebration but some bastards decided to bomb London. In a freakish attack, 3 tube trains and one Bus was exploded which subsequently but London on Tenderhooks. A scary day as Dad was up in London and I couldn't get hold of him because all Telephone networks were down. A day we will never forget and one that will live vividly in my Mind.

College finished and another week of work experience at nuts! A great week, so much free stuff (fone, cosmetics etc etc) and a moving moment when a week after the bombs, I looked out of the 26th floor of Kings reach tower to see people lining the pavements to show their repsects. On the Friday I went to the Big Brother eviction with Suzanne, Aly and Jo. what a great night. We got into the studio. So close to Davina and we were all on tv! So fun! Night after it was holiday time. Holiday to France. A great two weeks, lovely French totty in the Bordeaux region of France. A big thank you to mum and dad for such a wicked time!

August saw me return to England and the football season start again. This season myself and Chris decided to be season ticket holders at Charlton which was great. A couple of preseason friendlies with Matt was great. I managed to get tickets to the Big Brother final. A great night for me and Joel. In the crowd of Big Brother enthusiasts where we saw Anthony win! A wave from housemates from the other side of the crowd was wicked. I Just before I departed for Spain with matt, I saw Charlton win their first home match of the season, 1 nil against Wigan. So I went round Matts house on the Sunday and we watched Summerslam, a great event. The day after it was time to go to Spain. I loved it. Travelling to Heathrow, chilling in the terminal and then getting on the Iberia flight to Bilbao. When we got their the weather was overcast, but we had a great first evening discovering San Sebastian. The weather during the week was mixed, with sun and overcast, some great bodysurfing in the waves, one day they were huge and we were surfing for ages! The clubbing on various nights was great, with Bar ZM our main bar. We had 3 great nights there, dancing with some pretty gorgeous girls, and on our final night, not going to sleep at all, going back to the hotel and then straight to the airport in Bilbao feeling like shit. Flight back to Sunny England with some great views over London as we apporached Heathrow. Arriving at Heathrow, getting the train to Covent Garden to meet Mum and Dad at the Savoy where they had been staying, and able to watch Charlton beat Middlesboro 3-0.

September came and it allowed me to get Sky in my room thanks to Dad and some dumb installers! It is quality to be able to watch all the channels in my room without hassle! Myself and Chris went to see Birmingham V Charlton away, the furthest we had ever been away and luckily we were rewarded with a 1-0 win. After a long summer break, we were back to college, to make some new friends and chill with the old ones! Ollie decided to quit college after one day which was sad, let alone stupid! Making new friends with Josh, Leah, Sophia etc is all good. Kerri Parker, a model who I post on her online forum, asked me to work on her stand at Weekend At Daves. This was wicked, chilling with some hot models, working hard and enjoying myself!

In October Chris got banned from the BP in Bramley because Matt pushed him around in a trolley on the forecourt, Prickesh ran round the corner and said "What is this" in an Indian voice! So funny! We had a quality time at Matt's Uncles party at which we got absolutely plastered (I had work the next day at which I felt shit) and Chris had a first touch of 'lovely lady lumps' (dont ask!!). The annual College freshers ball was a great night, a very hot one which left everyone sweating buckets in their suits (gangster and molls dress) but a very cool night and one to remember, not only that but the crazy Irish man who thought Chris was a Jew, in Subway, and our very long walk from Guildford back to Bramley!

Jr the legend got fired from WWE after years of great commentary, we will all miss him. Chris apologised to Prickesh a night after we watched the footie in the Wheatsheaf!

Also in October I helped out at the College open evening with Josh which was a doss, I also applied for a possible TV programme about teenage learner drivers, which the producer Leila and her assistant Kate came down to film me driving for a trial. This was exciting! During half term I was asked to work in St Claires branch of Sainsbury's in Hampton (London) which was all good because the taxi driver got lost and I only had to work for 3hr30m and getting paid all along! A party mid way through the week was forgettable as it was really shit and I went from work to Shamley green to go to it, what a waste of time! We also went to Thorpe Park for the fright nights which was amazing, trying Slammer, Collosus, Nemesis Inferno, Detonator among others were great. I'll always remember Chris' laughing fit when we went into Burger King at Lunch, it was empty and all of these Indian workers were shouting at us "PLEASE MAY I HELP YOU" effing hilarious that was! After all this the unforgettable journey home where Josh nearly got attacked by Gulas and the incompetance of South West Trains staff meant we ended up stranded in Aldershot! This month also saw me pass my Driving Theory Test as well as me and Chris seeing the best ever Match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge when we beat Chelsea on Penalties in the Carling Cup. What a great night and a match to never forget, the atmosphere was amazing!

November came and we saw some pretty good fireworks displays in Bramley and Loxwood. An unforgettable night when myself, Matt, Josh and Chris went bowling, with Chris already pissed on a bottle of White Magic and us getting a cab back to Sophias house after. Chris then drunk a bottle of piss filled by Matt and Josh! YUK! It was absolutely rank but soooo funny. And when he got home he drunk coke with more piss in and he said it was the nicest drink he ever had! HAHAHA. Later that month, Myself, Jack, Jerome and Josh went to see the recording of They Think Its All Over. What a funny show that was! We also were able to see London Eye Part Two again, how funny was that! EFFING FUNNY!

Myself and Matt were able to play the next generation in Xbox Gaming, the Xbox 360, and amazing console which I preordered in September and able to get on 2nd December. I couldn't wait!

We all went up to see Aston Villa V Charlton at the end of the month, the night before we went down to Brighton with Chris' Dad Derek and didn't get back to 5 in the morning! SO we were feeling like shit. We lost the match 1-0 but we were cheered up by Chris' various sliding escapades across Birmingham and London!

Christmas time came and at the beginning of September I picked up my Xbox 360, it was amazing! As a family we went to Le Touquet with good friends Colin and Gwenny. It was a great weekend! Got hammered on both nights, great food, and I found an amazing bar in Le Touquet called 'Le Globetrotter'. I'll definately go back with my friends to that bar! I got some cheap fags in Belgium and we made it back for me to go to The Valley to see Man City thrash us 5-2! DOH! Term broke up for the Christmas period and the Friday we broke up, Chris had a fit in the cinema when he wasn't allowed a student rate cos he didn't have his card! It was so funny! Christmas day was excellent with myself getting some great presents. The darts have been going on throughout the festive period which has been great to watch! I love the Christmas period and now all that is left of 2005 is the New Years Party in Basildon. I can't wait and it will be soooo good!

My favourite song this year has to be: Love Generation by Bob Sinclar

Heres To 2005, Thanks For The Memories!

Yoyo! So I just got my request in on Club964 on The Eagle. It was Lolas Theme shouting out to me saying I'm staying in saving myself for New Years Eve! Well lifted my spirits! Cheers The Eagle!

Feeling so low

Every year at this time I always feel so low. It kicks in Christmas Day evening, I don't know what makes me feel this way and I always feel like crying. But somehow I don't. I guess its the anticlimax of Christmas being over, a period of the year I love, the year being over and into a new one, exams coming up. It's wierd. Having Olivia's friend over for new years party in Basildon, and then having to go home early because of Olivia being so poorly is sad to see. Having his Mum booking a flight for him to go home and then my Mum having to break him the news, where he gets really upset and seeing him pack his bags ready to go is heartbreaking. He's such a nice chap. I know I'll get over it, but the fact of all these things in one makes me feel so shit. Here's to 2005
