I just can't believe that England are out of the World Cup. Although I didn't think we would do too much, I did think after beating Ecuador that we would have a chance to maybe go all the way. The memories of this year's competition will always last for me, the first time I could drink when a major tournament was on.

I watched England vs Paraguay around Josh's house and had a BBQ which was a right laugh. We won the game 1-0 and we were lucky, but we had 3 points in the bag.

When I had a job interview in London, I went to the Sports Cafe with Matt to watch Spain vs Ukraine, where Spain thrashed them 4-0. We were like the only English people in the bar and it was a great atmosphere!

The second game against Trinidad and Tobago was just after an exam and Me, Jack and Matt watched it at The Drink in Guildford. England scored 2 late goals and the place went mental, random people jumping around with us! Was great. This meant we qualified.

When my cousin Paul came down from Scotland I went with him and Matt to Yates in Guildford. It was a boring match but the ketchup incident in the bar was so funny and one to remember!

The final England match against Sweeden I raced home from work to watch. Was a pretty scrappy match but we managed a draw, when frankly we should have won.

England had reached the last 16 and faced in form Ecuador. I was working at the Fast and Furious car show in Brighton over the weekend and caught the match in one of the bars at Brighton Racecourse, where the show was. We won 1-0 thanks to a great Beckham free kick and had booked our place in the Semi's against Portugal.

I was in Birmingham working with Matt at the NEC at Max Power Live, another car show, and I caught the first half by watching a TV on top of a hummer and the second by watching it on a screen on the main stage. It finished 0-0 after normal time with Rooney being sent off. I rushed back to the hotel in time to catch the penalty shoot out and saw Robinson save a penalty and then Gerrard step up and miss (I reckon if he had scored we would have won). Carragher missed the penalty that sealed England's fate and sent us crashing out of the Cup in a similar fashion when Portugal knocked us out of Euro 2004 2 years ago. I was devistated aswell as other fans in the hotel bar. I couldn't believe it. A really depressing journey home.

I reckon we could have won it as we had a fantastic bunch of players, but was Sven the man to do it for us? No in my opinion.
