It was a weekend I have been looking forward to for a while! It was the weekend where myself and my mates from Charlton (James, Paul, Mike) would be going up to Manchester to see Man Utd vs Charlton at Old Trafford.

So after I finished work on Friday, I went up to London to James' house and got stuck in the lovely M25 traffic. But I did text into Capital and Lucio read my text out - quality! Eventually I got to his house, where a lovely meal and beer was waiting for me!

Paul, James' Bro Matt and James' mate Jim were there too. After dinner we headed into Greenwich and went to The Cutty Sark pub. I was so drunk by the time we left and headed into Greenwich! I knew I would have a hangover! Hehe, but thats the fun! The place in Greenwich town was quality, really nice place! Shame I was too drunk to enjoy it!

We got back to his and I hit the hay at 12:30.

Any early start in the morning was met with a headache! Hehe. We set off in Paul's Focus at around 07:30. En route to the M1 we picked up Mike from his Dad's in Charlton. And there we were, on our way up to Manchester!

We took one stop on the way up, at a Lovely services on the M1 where a nice sarnie from M&S was waiting! And 4 hours later, we were somewhere in Manchester trying to find the Hostel - Hilton Chambers. After around an hours driving, we found it!

We parked the car at the Printworks, checked into the Hostel, and made our way to Old Trafford for the Match! We picked up a Subway en-route and then got on the train to "Manchester United Football Ground Station". Was quality to have a train going directly to the Stadium!

When we got their, I got conned into buying a programme and a magazine lol but the vendor was quality! And we went through the turnstiles, a pre match beer or two and to our seats! What a stadium, it is breathtaking!

Unfortunately Charlton lost 2-0 but it was a great match, we played well and our fans were great! I enjoyed giving a bit of stick to them! Scum! LOL!

Instead of catching public transport into the city centre, we decided to walk the distance. It was a long walk but it let us see a bit of the city. We stopped by in Brannagans for a couple of pints and watched the Pompey V Man City game on the screens. While we were watching this we were having great amusement watching lots of cars get parking tickets outside! hehe.

We went back to the Hostel to have a quick freshen up and we then met up with James' mate who was showing us around town. We started off in this trendy pub named 'The Bay Horse'. Old Fashioned decor, but very trendy. After this we went to the chippy and had some Fish and Chips. I felt like shit after.

A 'delicious' meal, we headed to TV21, a very modern space themed bar. Apparently lots of celebrities go there (Jonny Vegas had his birthday there last month!) and I don't blame them. It was quality. A few drinks, and much merrier later, we headed to 'The Mint Lounge'. Now this place reminded me of Turnmills, underground dark and trendy. The music was good, the ladies were stunning. To be honest I don't think I saw 1 ugly lady all night! The girls up North are the best. After a lil dance, we headed back to the hostel knackered. Luckily Mint Lounge was just underneath!

After a good nights sleep, we got packed and left the hostel for a wander around Manchester. Really trendy and cool looking place. We had a lil breakie from Greggs and got on our way. I happened to sleep through most of the journey which was cool, but I did see the place they film Shameless when we were leaving Manchester! Cool! LOL!

It took us around 4 hours to get back to James' house. And then I had the journey onwards. But what a wicked weekend. Thanks lads.
